What We Love About the Exerpeutic 2000 Recumbent Bike:
Most of what we love about the Exerpeutic High Capacity Programmable Recumbent Bike was highlighted above. It’s got a lot of comforts and conveniences, especially in this price range. It is hard to find another recumbent bike with features like these for this price. Here are some specifics:Convenience
At this price range, the 2000 High Capacity Programmable Magnetic Recumbent Bike has some really nice features. The console provides six (6) programmed workouts. This is great because you are ensured a great, intense, pre-designed workout at the push of a button. There are a lot of recumbent bikes in the price range that don’t provide this feature. Exerpeutic also provides an
Comfort
Another great thing about the Exerpeutic 2000 Magnetic Recumbent Bike is its comfort. The seat is 3½” thick with individual air chambers to absorb shock and distribute your weight. The seat is also PVC woven and stays cool throughout your workouts. It also has a large contoured backrest and thick elbow pads to support your arms while exercising. These features make working out very enjoyable.Cons:
This is an excellent piece of equipment so the complaints are minor. One is that the Exerpeutic 2000 High Capacity Programmable Magnetic Recumbent Bike provides eight (8) levels of resistance. With lower numbers of resistance levels, it is harder to fine tune to that specific level of challenge you might want. That said, most people are absolutely fine with 8 levels of magnetic tension.
Not a deal breaker but a drawback of the Exerpeutic 2000 is there’s no option to use a heart rate chest monitor. It does have heart rate monitoring, but you can only do it through the handgrips. While having a heart monitoring option is great, the accuracy through handgrips is not the best. Plus, you need to make sure you’re holding the grips throughout your workout to make sure you are getting readings. With a chest strap, you don’t have to have this on your mind all of the time. Again, most competitor models in this price range with this same problem. If this is something you’re not comfortable with, you’ll probably need to spend at least another $100 for bike with this feature.
