The
Stamina Doorway Trainer Plus is well built and strong. This home pull up bar made
from heavy-duty steel and has good padding for a comfortable grip. I
didn’t see anyone who reviewed this bar question its strength and none
claimed that it flexed up their body weight. With a weight capacity of
250 lbs, you should feel safe even if you’re approaching this weight
limit.
The Doorway Trainer Plus provides a great upper body workout on and
off the doorframe. It provides three normal grip positions and two
hammer grip positions. You’ll get a full upper body workout with all of
these options. This bar can also be moved to the bottom of the doorframe
to be used as a support for sit-ups and/or crunches to work the
abdomen, or to the floor for dips and push-ups.

Assembly and Installation:
Assembly is extremely easy with the Doorway Trainer Plus. It comes
with detailed instructions and should take about 15 minutes. A lot of
times when you review chin-up/pull-up bars you find that people receive
the wrong bolts and screws. I didn’t see any of that with the Stamina
Doorway Trainer Plus.
About Stamina:
Stamina has focused on providing quality and value across the fitness
industry since it was established in 1987. They were one of the first
to develop infomercial and through it brought to us household names like
Body by Jake, Suzanne Somers, Tony Little and Denise Austin.
What We Love About the Stamina Doorway Trainer Plus
What I like best actually is the name recognition of Stamina. Stamina
is a well known equipment manufacturer in the fitness industry. It
shows in the construction of the Doorway Trainer Plus. This is a well
built and sturdy bar. You won’t get any flex in the bar and it’s going
to last through your most intense workouts. You get all of the usual
exercises with a bar in this design. You can use in at the top of the
doorframe, bottom of the door and on the ground. You also get two
different positions for hammer grip chin-ups/pull-ups.
What Isn’t So Great
There isn’t too much that is bad about the Stamina Doorway Trainer
Plus. In fact, when looking at reviews, there aren’t many there. Most
center around the bar not fitting certain doorway sizes. For whatever
reason, Stamina doesn’t specifically say what sizes of doors this bar
will fit. I’m estimating it will fit doors from 27” to 35”. The bar
itself is 37” long, so on a 36” door, you’ll only get about a 0.5”
overhang on both sides, which isn’t going to be enough to support you
through your exercises.
Final Word on the Stamina Doorway Trainer Plus
Stamina retails the Doorway Trainer Plus for $59.99, but you can find
it as low as $31. This is a very reasonable price for a name brand
manufacturer. This bar is strong and sturdy and will last you a long
time. Just make sure you properly measure your door openings so you know
that this bar is going to work for you.
