What Isn’t So Great:XTERRA Fitness FS4.0e Elliptical Trainer

Stride

There are a couple things with the stride on the FS4.0e Elliptical Trainer that we don’t like. First, it is only an 18” stride. This might be an issue for you if you’re a taller than 6’. It’s possible that with the shorter movement that you may not be able to get your full stride and you’ll need to compact your movements. The best thing you can do is find a floor model somewhere and give it a test drive. The other thing we don’t like is that there is no ability to incline the machine. This limits the amount of intensity you can add to your workout. These two issues are a bit concerning considering there are competitor elliptical that offer better options for far less money.
