Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike
Overview:
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike is an excellent,
mid-range, name-brand piece of exercise equipment that has everything
you need to get toned and lose weight, and doing it all in maximum
comfort. While the 230 Recumbent Bike is a slimmed down model of the
higher-end 270 Schwinn model, it still outranks other recumbent bikes in this price range. The Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike comes with 20 levels of resistance and 22 workout programs (only 5 less resistance levels and 7 less programmed workouts than the 270 Recumbent Bike). It’s missing Bluetooth capability of the 270 Schwinn and the ability to use a heart rate chest strap monitor. But other than that, this recumbent exercise bike is almost identical to the higher-end Schwinn model. You get the connectivity of mobile devices and ability to access Schwinn Connect. This kind of slimmed down recumbent bikes are often the way to go especially if you aren’t in desperate need of Bluetooth or an overkill of resistance levels and workout programs. Plus it’s probably going to save you around $200.

Manufacturer Background:
Schwinn® was founded in 1895 and since then has been icon in the
bicycle, recreation product, and home and commercial fitness worlds. The
company was founded in Chicago by Ignaz Schwinn and his partner Adolph
Arnold. Schwinn® led innovation in the bicycle industry with several
firsts including the bicycle balloon tire in 1933, Cyclelock®, a bicycle
theft solution in 1935, and in 1938 the fore-wheel brake, cantilever
frame and the spring fork, which are the predecessor of today’s mountain
bikes. In 1965, Schwinn introduced their first in-home workout machines
and today they feature full lines of upright bikes, recumbent bikes,
steppers, treadmills, elliptical and home gyms. What We Love About the Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike:
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike has everything someone needs to have a great bike, an intense workout, and enjoyable exercises. It has an excellent console with many workouts and the ability to download exercise data. It also keeps you connected with its media shelf and app connectivity. Finally, with the Schwinn name you’re getting the quality that only a 100-year-old manufacturer can provide.Console
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike has a great console for a mid-range bike. It has 22
programmed workouts. The 230 Recumbent Bike also allows you to download
your exercise data so that you can track your performance from workout
to workout. The programmed workouts provide an enjoyable exercise
experience and allow you to choose your intensity from fun workouts to
more strenuous hill and mountain rides. The workouts we like best,
however, are the challenging workouts that really get the heart rate up.
